Our senses absorb wonder and beauty as we nourish our soul to overflowing. In this blog, I will share things that nourish my soul. I find wonder in many places in my life; music, books, nature, people, art, travel, food, passion, creativity and much more. In sharing these sources of wonder with others, my hope is to spread the feeling of pure, innocent joy felt in the hearts of those who truly absorb the wonder. Fill your cup, pass it on, then fill another and so on . . .

Wassily Kandinsky - Painting 1896 - 1944

Wassily Kandinsky - Painting 1896 - 1944

Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky
Born 16 December [O.S. 4 December] 1866
Moscow
Died 13 December 1944 (aged 78)
Neuilly-sur-Seine

Kandinsky continues to inspire, living on through his vast collection of masterpieces. He is one of those artists that seems to me to have something for everyone. From landscapes and seascapes, to the mystical and everyday life, to portraits and the abstract. As a painter, to have the dream of creating this kind of massive and broad collection of work is definitely a lofty goal but is one I imagine for myself. The amount of time and energy that had to be tapped to create such an extensive collection is mind boggling. You can view a great deal of Kandinsky's work here. I imagine you will find a creation of his that speaks to you personally.
You can also learn more about Kandinsky on this biographical page.

Here are a couple of my favorite works by this master of the brush.
